Milk Moon Kids was created on Christmas morning 2008, when Sarah Spring and Lauren Kitchen, two childhood friends turned sisters-in-law, found themselves unexpectedly building a business tree-side. They had spent months prior to Christmas in search of the perfect things to outfit the nursery of their new favorite guy–Lauren’s son and Sarah’s nephew. The two quickly discovered that finding exactly what they were looking for was going to be harder than they thought. After their long search from one store to another, Sarah had decided to create what they couldn’t find. The “ah ha” moment came when Lauren unwrapped a hand-illustrated print designed by Sarah.

The two immediately realized they weren’t the only ones who would love the quirky, bright design. And so, Milk Moon Kids came to life in the glow of Christmas tree lights as the two planned to fill the gap between fluffy pastels and minimalist modern. Milk Moon Kids is dedicated to creating unique products for both fun-loving kids and style-conscious parents that are sure to reawaken the imagination and, hopefully, inspire a few happy giggles. With backgrounds in design and business respectively, Sarah and Lauren are hard at work expanding the product offer while building a company that is truly a family affair.
